Tickets are £5 per child (parents and siblings under 1 / over 12 are free) and are available to book online at https://ti.to/loves-farm-house/magic-carl.

Craft Day3

For the very little ones, St Neots Library will be relocating its Baby & Toddler Rhymetime to Love’s Farm House for the summer holidays – every second Friday (3, 17 and 30 August) 10.30-11am, £1 per family. Older children have not been forgotten – on Friday 27 July 10.30-11.30am children can come along to Love’s Farm House to sign up for the library’s Mischief Makers Summer Reading Challenge 2018 and have some craft fun creating their own Beano glasses.

There are plenty of children’s workshops going on this summer too. The summer kicks off with workshops from Limelight Entertainment for ages 3+. This summer they are taking their inspiration from Moana (26 July, 10am-1pm) and Wonder Woman & Spiderman (6 August, 10am-1pm) – their first ever superhero workshop! Workshops cost £15 and must be booked in advance as spaces are limited. Visit www.limelightentertainmentuk.com or call 07825 331453 for more details.

Tiny TotsTiny Tots Dance have been inspired by the stories of Julia Donaldson this summer and will be running workshops on 10 August (based on The Singing Mermaid) and 24 August (based on The Smartest Giant in Town) 9.30-10.45am. There will be crafts and games as well as lots of dancing for ages 2-5 (siblings are welcome too). £6 per child, £2.40 for siblings. Places must be booked in advance, visit www.tinytotsdance.co.uk for further information and to book.

For something a bit different, Movie Memoirs Ltd will be running movie-making workshops for ages 8-12 (Monday 13, Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 August, 10am-12noon), and ages 4-8 (Thursday 16 and Friday 17 August, 10am-12noon). Projects will include filming fictional news reports, adverts, music videos and even their own version of X Factor. £2.50 per child per session. Spaces are very limited and must be booked in advance at www.movie-memoirs.co.uk.

For the Baby and Pre-School age group, Baby Sensory and Love’s Farm Starlings will be running for most of the summer on Tuesdays and Wednesdays respectively (check our What’s On Guide for their summer closure dates). Hartbeeps will also be running a Big Summer Rave on Wednesday 29 August — a sunny, bouncing celebration of summer. £8 per child, visit www.hartbeeps.com for more details and to book.

Jam NightFor the grown ups, many of our regular exercise classes continue over the summer — check the What’s On Guide for the dates of Zumba, Pilates, Yoga and Karate. The Farm House Bar will be open as usual every Friday from 7.30pm. Come along and chat to your neighbours over a few drinks, or get stuck into one of our themed nights. On 10 August you’re invited to bring your musical instruments and singing voices for our Jam Night. The ever-popular Cocktails and Karaoke is on 3 August and 7 September, and of course you can test your knowledge at the LFCA Quiz Night on the last Friday of the month, 27 July and 31 August. On Friday 20th July St Neots Film Club will be showing Black Panther and on 17 August there’ll be a family-friendly film — watch this space for more info. Films start at 8pm, tickets cost £5 on the door.

Don’t forget that the foyer area at Love’s Farm House is open 9am-12noon Monday to Friday throughout the school holidays (closed Monday 6 to Friday 10 August). You can pop in to borrow a book from the Micro Library or bring a cup of coffee and make use of the free wi-fi. This is your community centre, so make the most of it!
