Happy Birthday To Us!

Love’s Farm House celebrated its first birthday in style with a week of parties and special events.

lfh-1st-birthday-14On Saturday 22 October we hosted an 80s disco, our first adults-only party. Based on the feedback we’ll be planning more soon.

Monday 24th saw the arrival of Dotty the Dragon, a fabulous touring theatre production from Blunderbus Theatre. There were two sold-out performances and the show went down a storm with the kids. Thanks to St Neots Slings and Your Time to Grow for sponsoring the performances.

On Wednesday 26th illustrators Marion Lindsay (Ready Steady Ghost!, Bella Donna, Maisie Hitchins) and Jo Clark (hehehe hyena) helped children to make animal masks and spooky dreamcatchers. Thanks to Friends of St Neots Library for sponsoring this event.

lfh-1st-birthday-36Friday 28 October was our combined quiz night, Community Champion Awards and the annual general meetings for both Love’s Farm House and Love’s Farm Community Association (LFCA). It was a fantastic turnout and support from our community has never been better.

The Community Champion Awards was LFCA’s chance to say a public thank you to the people who go out of their way to help make Love’s Farm such a great place to live. Our winners were:

Bring Your Family to Work Award – The Tames
Committed to the Community – David Wells
Star Behind the Scenes – Cornelia Sbircea
Going the Extra Mile – Rebecca Mitton
SMART Superhero – Joshua Jones
New Venture – Little Loves (Roxy Andrews, Sam Claussen, Becky Symms, Lynda Cronin, Kathryn Pickering, Paula Phipps, Cornelia Sbircea, Di Briggs, Steve Briggs)

We ended our week of celebrations with a Halloween Disco on Saturday 29th, with party games lead by Anna Crompton and Ben on the DJ decks.

A huge thanks to EVERYONE who made the week such a success. We had lots of fun and we hope you did too!
