Group Exercise Classes Return from 17 May

Following the government’s announcement that Step 3 of the Roadmap will be going ahead on Monday 17 May, we are very pleased to welcome our exercise classes back to Love’s Farm House! It’s been a while, so here’s a reminder of the exercise classes you can enjoy at Love’s Farm House from next week.

Kicking us off on Monday evenings is a general fitness class run by Train with Sophia from 6.10-6.55pm. This is a full-body fitness class, suitable for all abilities. They change things up each week to keep it fun!

Two classes from NJ Fitness & Massage complete the Monday evening schedule, Zumba at 7pm & Fitness Pilates at 8pm.

Zumba is an ever-popular, Latin-inspired dance fitness workout which will have you shimmying and whooping along. The lights go down, the disco lights on, and the music goes UP, UP, UP!

Fitness Pilates is a much calmer session, focused on strengthening your core muscles and improving your balance and posture, finishing up with some relaxation at the end of the session.

Pilates is also the name of the game on Tuesday evenings, with sessions at 6.05pm, 7.05pm & 8.05pm. Pilates is our longest-running exercise class here at Love’s Farm House, and for good reason. It can quite literally help everybody, from people with limited mobility looking to gain more flexibility, right through to professional athletes looking to improve strength and gain fitness. All classes are mixed ability and are run by Pilates with Laura.

Wednesday mornings kick off with Fit Mum, run by NJ Fitness & Massage, the perfect class for those who are struggling to fit their exercise in around caring for their children. Fit Mum is a 45-minute workout which includes cardio, conditioning and core exercises. All of the exercises are post natal safe. Your little one(s) can come along too. There are sensory toys for them to enjoy, or they can join in the exercise!

Thanks to DSM Dance with Lynne, Wednesday is also dance day at Love’s Farm House, and your inner Strictly fan is in for a treat!

First up is FitSteps, which runs at 2pm and 8.15pm. FitSteps is an energetic, up-beat dance fitness class featuring all your favourite Strictly dances. It is suitable for adults of all abilities and you will have so much fun, you won’t even realise you are getting fit!

If you prefer musicals to ballroom dancing, you will love the brand new class at 7.15pm on Wednesdays, Broadway Boogie. Broadway Boogie is a new, high-energy dance workout inspired by Broadway and musical theatre. Embrace the characters from your favourite musicals as you dance to tracks you know and love, feeling like the star of the show in every single class!

If martial arts is more your style, adults can return to training at St Neots Tang Soo Do Karate Club, which meets on Wednesdays at 5.30pm.

This is a family-friendly club for both adults and children (from age 6). All grades and ages train together under the instruction of two Master instructors (4th and 5th Dan black belts). They don’t have a website, but you can contact Paul on 07790 217170 for more details.

Rounding out the week is a new Pregnancy Pilates class from NJ Fitness & Massage, on Sundays at 6.40pm. Pregnancy Pilates is suitable from week 12 of pregnancy. It aims to reduce aches and pains throughout pregnancy and will help strengthen and lengthen the muscles to aid pregnancy, childbirth and beyond. The class consists of 45 minutes of Pregnancy Pilates followed by 15 minutes focusing on breathing techniques and relaxation.

There’s certainly something for everyone this spring! Love’s Farm House is a Covid-secure venue and all classes have safety measures in place, including number limits, so please ensure that you contact the instructor to book a space before coming along. Click on the What’s On tab of our website for full details of these classes, and all the other activities running at Love’s Farm House.
