October Half Term Events

School may be closed next week but at Love’s Farm House we’re busier than ever. On top of our usual activities we have a week of special events to celebrate two years since we first opened our doors. We really hope you can join us!

LFCA Community Champion Awards, Family Quiz and AGM
Friday 20 October, 7pm

The LFCA Community Champion Awards are when we celebrate that amazing people and groups that make Love’s Farm a better place to live. We’ll also be hosting a family quiz and there’s a chance to find out — and have your say — about the new parking restrictions that are coming to Love’s Farm. Then there’s the small matters of AGMs for Love’s Farm Community Centre and Love’s Farm House — we promise to keep them mercifully short.

It’s a great chance to meet your neighbours and find out what’s happening in the community, and the bar’s open too.

Neon Disco
Saturday 21 October, 8pm-12am

1080p logo

Dig out your day-glo outfits and get ready to dance to classic 80s and 90s floor-fillers from Rick Astley to The Prodigy and back again. We had a great time at last year’s 80s Disco so we’re back for more. Over 18s only. Tickets £5 in advance — see below.

Lost and Found Theatre Production
Monday 23 October, 11:30am and 2:30pm

SORRY – CANCELLED! We’re very sad to report that this show has been cancelled as the production company are no longer able to deliver the show. Ticket holders, please contact our office 9am-12pm Monday 23rd to Wednesday 25th for full refunds.

Set sail on a wonderful theatrical adventure in this magical, musical adaptation based on the book by award-winning, bestselling picture book creator, Oliver Jeffers.

Produced by the people who brought My Pet Monster and Me and Dotty the Dragon to Love’s Farm House in 2015 and 2016, this show is set to be a real treat for 3-7 year olds. Performances at 11:30am and 2:30pm. Tickets £6 per adult/child in advance — see below for ticket information.

Jam Night at the Farm House Bar
Friday 27 October, 8-11pm

Jam RGBBring your instruments and singing voices to Love’s Farm House for a night of music making. All instruments and abilities welcome (sorry, no under-18s), and the bar’s open as usual. We’ll be putting together a set list of songs in advance so please email ben@lovesfarmhouse.co.uk or join the Facebook event and we’ll keep you posted. You can make your own song suggestions too!

Indoor Car Boot Sale
Saturday 28 October, 9:30-11:30am

Buy and sell nearly new items at our indoor boot sale. We’re not weather dependent so there’s no risk of soggy shoes, drenched dresses or blown-away babygrows. The coffee shop will be open too for a well-deserved cuppa. Seller’s tables are £5 in advance — see below to book a table.

Halloween Disco
Saturday 28 October, 6-10pm

Halloween 2017 FB

Get ready for an evening of spooky fun and ghoulish goings on at the Haunted Farm House. There’ll be games for younger children from 6pm and a chance for kids and adults of all ages to strut their freakiest moves from 7pm. Fancy dress encouraged but not essential. Tickets are £2 in advance — see below.

And Lots More Besides…

Limelight Entertainment’s workshop on Tuesday 24 October is inspired by Beauty and the Beast (contact amy@limelightentertainmentuk.com), while Tiny Tots Dance will be running a spook-bat-ular dance workshop on Wednesday 25 October at 10am (visit http://www.tinytotsdance.co.uk for more info). St Neots Library’s brings Baby and Toddler Rhymetime to the Farm House on Friday 27 October at 10.30am.

Our Tuesday coffee shop is closed during school holidays but Switch Café is open as usual on Thursday and Friday 10am-2pm serving light lunches and delicious cakes baked on the premises.
