We look forward to seeing you at the AGM,
Love’s Farm House is managed by Love’s Farm Community Centre CIO, a charity set up and run by local residents. We have our annual general meeting (AGM) on 12 October 2018 and would like to welcome new trustees to our board.
The trustees are volunteers who take overall responsibility for the community centre. At our monthly trustee meetings (on the first Wednesday of each month) we discuss finances, marketing and fundraising, defining policies and procedures, employing and managing staff, planning events and ensuring that we always act in accordance with our constitution and mission statement. We also do lots of practical jobs: gardening, running the bar and café, building maintenance and helping out wherever it’s needed. There’s lots to do but it’s really rewarding.
Some of our trustees are also regular hirers of the building, and it’s useful to have a range of ages, backgrounds and interests to help us serve all parts of the community. Click here for more information from The Charity Commission about what’s involved.
If you’re interested in becoming a trustee (or would like to volunteer in any other way), we’d love to hear from you. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01480 262626. Please get in touch by Saturday 22 September.
Friday 16 November, 8pm – midnight at Love’s Farm House
After the great success of our Belgian beer evening in June, Love’s Farm House is teaming up once again with Shumë, the new bottle emporium in Cross Keys Mews, St Neots, for an evening of the best of British beer and cheeses.
The new wave of British ales is exploding with character, from the big hoppy flavours of Citra and Mosaic hops to IPAs made with lactose and vanilla pods. We’ll be pairing them with some extraordinary cheeses that might just melt your heart… or make your ears fizz with pleasure.
Tickets cost £15 for a tasting menu of five beers and five cheeses for you to sample. Shumë stocks over 30 British craft beers, and the full range will be available to try at the Farm House Bar on Friday 16 November from 8pm.
Tickets are available in advance. Buy online here, from the Love’s Farm House office (9am-3pm weekdays) or from Shumë, Cross Keys Mews.
Saturday 27 October 6-9pm at Love’s Farm House
