Did you know that Love’s Farm House was set up and is run by a team of local volunteers? We’re currently recruiting trustees and people to help with our Saturday morning café and to join our garden team.
The committee started life as a subteam at LFCA, but went on to set up an independent charity, Love’s Farm Community Centre CIO. The charity is managed by a team of volunteer trustees, who meet monthly to oversee all aspects of the building from finances to bookings, building maintenance to in-house events, garden development to marketing and much more besides.
We’re lucky to have a fantastic team of staff who handle the day-to-day running of the building, but it’s up to the trustees to set the strategic direction to ensure that Love’s Farm House serves the local community in the best way possible.
Each October at our AGM there’s a chance for people to join our board of trustees. If you’d like to know more, please email ben@lovesfarmhouse.co.uk or call Jenny on 01480 262626. The list of candidates will be published with our notice of AGM so please get in touch by 16 September.
We’re also looking to expand our team of volunteers who run the Lazy Breakfast café on Saturday mornings during term time (8:30am to midday). We operate a rota, with each person volunteering roughly once a month. No previous experience is necessary… you just need to be clean and friendly! If you’d like to get involved please contact ben@lovesfarmhouse.co.uk or call Jenny on 01480 262626.
We’re always grateful for help with the gardening. We have an amazing community garden project in the raised bed that runs down the side of the building – more info at www.facebook.com/incredibleediblelovesfarm. Please get in touch with Jessica via Facebook or the contacts above.
Thank you!
