We’re super excited to celebrate the end of the summer holidays at our Back to School Disco on Saturday 2nd September!
There will be plenty of dancing, crafts and games, a licensed bar, and Little Dutch Bites will be selling their delicious poffertjes in the garden if you’re in need of a snack after throwing some moves of the dancefloor.
Tickets are only £3 per person (all children must be accompanied by a parent or carer, who must have their own ticket) and are available from Tito Tickets.
It may be the school holidays, but there’s plenty going on at Love’s Farm House this August!
Missing your regular baby and toddler groups during the summer? No need to worry, because Hartbeeps, Baby Sensory and Mama Baby Bliss are all running summer sessions at Love’s Farm House. Hartbeeps will be taking a trip down the rabbit hole to visit Alice in Wonderland, having ice creams at the seaside and meeting some unicorns, while Baby Sensory are becoming baby frogs and visiting India. Mama Baby Bliss will be offering yoga stretches, massage and relaxing breathing exercises for your little one. Spaces are limited in all classes, so make sure you book your session in advance.
We’re excited to have St Neots Library bringing their Baby and Toddler Rhymetime to Love’s Farm House on Friday 18th August at 10.15am. There’s no need to book for this one, just bring your child (ages 0-5) along for some fun and singing, rhymes and actions. And feel free to borrow a book from our Micro Library afterwards!
For older children, Silver Rock Designs will be here every Tuesday with their popular holiday craft clubs. Aimed at children ages 5+ (younger children may join but will need some parental involvement to get the best out of the experience), each week has a different theme so your child can explore their favourite creative medium, or have a go at everything and see what they like best!
Katy North Academy of Dance is back at Love’s Farm House with two 2-day dance workshops on 2nd-3rd and 9th-10th August. The workshop themes are Multi-Style Dance, where children can learn a variety of dance styles such as Street Dance, Rock ‘n’ Roll and Latin American, and Kids of the West End, which will celebrate musicals with a strong child lead and musicals loved by children. Workshops are suitable for children aged 7-18.

We knew she was amazing, and now the whole of Huntingdonshire does too! Huge congratulations to Maria Russo, Vice-Chair of the Trustees of Love’s Farm House, who won Trustee of the Year at Hunts Forum’s Volunteer Awards 2023!
Maria is involved in almost every area of Love’s Farm House. She leads the Events Team, organising all the discos, shows and other events our community loves so much. She runs the Lazy Breakfast Cafe and can usually be found here on a Saturday morning serving up pastries and sausage rolls. Maria also leads the Garden Team, keeping our lovely outside space looking great, and she gets involved in all sorts of other issues from recruiting volunteers, to supporting staff, to trying to work out how to minimise our utility bills!
Love’s Farm House quite literally could not function without Maria, and as a Trustee she does all of this work on a completely voluntary basis. We are so pleased that her contribution has been recognised with this very well-deserved award! Congratulations Maria!

Saturday 6th May 2023, 9.15am-12.15pm, Love’s Farm House
On Saturday 6th May, Lazy Breakfast will be celebrating with a Coronation Special!
As well as our normal cafe in the foyer, we’ll be turning the meeting room into a mini cinema and showing the opening parades and the Coronation Ceremony on the big screen. You can watch the whole thing, dip in and out, or just pop in for a coffee in the foyer to start your bank holiday weekend.
As well as our usual Lazy Breakfast menu, we’ll be bringing back bacon butties for one day only! Or go traditional and order a scone with clotted cream and jam with your cuppa.
The cafe will open at 9.15am as normal, the Coronation Ceremony starts at 11am, and last orders at the cafe will be 12.15pm. If the ceremony is still going on, we’ll keep the building open and the projector on until it finishes.

School’s almost out for Easter and we’re EGGstra excited for spring shenanigans at Love’s Farm House!
There will be Easter fun for all the family at our Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday 8th April from 10am-1pm. The Farm House Cafe will be serving Easter cakes and cupcakes as well as our usual hot drinks and signature sausage rolls, and (with thanks to Limelight Entertainment) the Easter Bunny will be hopping in to see us!
There will be an Easter Egg Hunt around the building to entertain the kids while parents relax with a cuppa. Entry to the cafe is free, the Easter Egg Hunt costs £2 per child and includes a boxed chocolate egg. To guarantee your child’s Egg Hunt space, get your tickets in advance from our ticket page. There may be a small number of tickets to buy on the day, depending on Easter Egg availability!
If you didn’t get enough chocolate for Easter, Chocolate Bingo will be returning on Thursday 13th April. It’s bingo Love’s Farm style, playing for chocolate instead of cash, and with Love’s Farm’s signature bingo calls. Doors open at 6pm, eyes down at 6.30. £1 per person for a book of 10 games, bring your own snacks / drinks and don’t forget your pens and change! More info here.
And if you’re looking for something to entertain the kids over the holidays, we have not one, not two, but THREE children’s craft clubs open for booking.
Silver Rock Designs will be returning with their regular school holiday craft clubs on Tuesdays 4th (1.15-2.45pm) and 11th (10.15-11.45pm) April. Children will get stuck into a range of themed crafts, so make sure they dress for mess! On the 4th, the crafts will be Easter themed; on the 11th, it will be all about spring. The workshops are aimed at ages 5+ and cost £8 per child. Spaces must be booked in advance by messaging their Facebook Page or emailing silver-rock@hotmail.co.uk.
On Thursday 6th April from 12.15-1.45pm we have a BRAND NEW children’s creative workshop from Arty Kids. At the Little Grand Master Finger Painting Workshop, children will be learning about colours by blending and mixing using their fingers. They will also learn about perspective and mood using classic masterpieces as a template. At the end of the session, children will come home with their completed work and a certificate. The workshop is for ages 5-10 and costs £12 per child, including all materials and use of an apron. Book your child’s space here.
The Farm House Bar will be continuing the Easter celebrations with themed cocktails at Cocktails and Karaoke on 7th April. On 14th April, come along to Jam Night for an evening of music making and fun. It couldn’t be any more informal, just bring or pick up an instrument, and we always need singers to help us remember where we’ve got to in the song! The Farm House Bar is open from 7.30pm every Friday, visit our Facebook page for more details of bar events.
And finally, there’s a handful of tickets left for Murder at the Theatre – A Murder Mystery Evening on Saturday 15th April from 7.45pm. Come along for an evening of entertainment and intrigue, and help Inspector Darcy Meltoya investigate the clues, interrogate the suspects and solve the murder. Tickets cost £25 per person (including a glass of prosecco or soft drink on arrival) and teams can be up to 8 people. Get your tickets here.
