Did you know Love’s Farm House is a charity? ALL PROFITS FROM THIS EVENT WILL GO TOWARDS IMPROVING THE BUILDING’S CARBON FOOTPRINT. We plan to extend our existing solar capacity and add battery storage for extra efficiency. We are also replacing our gas boiler with an air source heat pump which will keep the building warm during Winter and cool during Summer.
As well as reducing our carbon footprint, these changes will allow us to continue to operate in the current market and help us shoulder the increased costs of keeping the building open so it can continue to serve the local community.
We hope to bring together the community for a fantastic day!

We have two exciting opportunities to join the Love’s Farm House team!
Love’s Farm House is looking for a General Manager to take day-to-day responsibility for the building, and an Administration Assistant to provide general administrative support.
Love’s Farm House is a busy community centre on the Love’s Farm development in St Neots, serving the community of Love’s Farm and the wider area. It is managed by a charity called Love’s Farm Community Centre CIO, which was set up by local residents specifically to run the building on behalf of the local community.
Love’s Farm House offers a varied timetable of activities, a cafe and bar, as well as private hire for parties, meetings and events. The foyer is open to the public during our opening hours and offers a Micro Library and free wi-fi. The cafe and bar sessions are registered Community Warm Spaces under Huntingdonshire District Council’s Community Spaces scheme.
An opportunity has arisen for a part-time General Manager to take day to day responsibility for the building, reporting to the Board of Trustees. The successful candidate will have a friendly, customer service focused attitude to ensure that Love’s Farm House is a welcoming environment for everyone in our community, strong leadership skills to manage a small team of staff, be highly organised and have a good knowledge of the health & safety framework within which any public building must operate.
The General Manager will have the opportunity to put their stamp on the building, working closely with the Board of Trustees to implement a strategy for the future of Love’s Farm House, including assisting with the organisation and marketing of fundraising events, identifying and writing funding applications, and marketing opportunities for new hirers and activities.
We are also looking for a part-time Administration Assistant to support the General Manager and Bar Manager of Love’s Farm House. The role will be for 6-8 hours per week, working for at least two days per week in the Love’s Farm House office.
It will involve general administrative tasks such as bookings, finance, stock control and events admin, as well as providing some reception services for the building. The role would suit someone who is friendly, welcoming and highly organised, with some administration experience and a good level of IT literacy.
To apply for either of these roles, please send your CV and a covering letter, explaining why you believe you would be suitable for the role, to bookings@lovesfarmhouse.co.uk. Please specify which role you are applying for in the covering letter. The closing date for both vacancies is Friday 1 March 2024.
We have an exciting new exhibition on display in the Love’s Farm House foyer!
The exhibition is by Eynesbury-based artist Nicola Hill and includes a contrasting selection of watercolours, line drawings and linocuts of places both near (Cambridge, Great Staughton) and far (Rajasthan and Perithea).
As well as the framed artwork, there is a selection of stunning original cards for sale at £1.50 each, with subjects ranging from local landmarks such as St Mary’s, Eynesbury, to Venetian masks, poems and pets. The cards are available to view in the office, please just ask!
Come and celebrate Valentine’s Day with the whole family this February at the Love’s Farm House Valentine’s Disco!
No babysitter? No problem! You and your partner can enjoy a relaxing drink from our licensed bar in our beautifully decorated hall, while the kids enjoy some games and dancing. Or if you’re flying solo, bring the kids as your date for plenty of family fun.
We’ll be dancing to a mix of the latest hits and cheesy (but catchy) love songs. Children can enjoy some Valentine’s crafts and plenty of games with great prizes, and we’ll have Valentine’s themed cocktails, mocktails and snacks on offer as well as our regular bar menu.
For those of you who like to combine their Valentine’s and Pancake Day celebrations, we’ll have Little Dutch Bites on site offering their delicious poffertjes (mini Dutch pancakes).
Tickets cost £3 per person (babies under 1 are free). All children must be accompanied by a parent or carer, who must have their own ticket.
The Love’s Farm House office will be closing for Christmas at 12noon on Friday 22nd December, reopening at 9am on Tuesday 2nd January.
We’ll still be hosting a couple more Christmas events. The Farm House Bar will be open from 7.45-11pm on 22nd December for Christmas Cheers, welcoming the carollers after the Love’s Farm Community Association carol singing (everyone welcome), and Breakfast Church will be meeting at Love’s Farm House for a short Christmas Day service at 11am on 25th December.
We wish all of our customers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
