New Classes at Love’s Farm House this Autumn

We have not one but TWO fantastic new children’s classes starting at Love’s Farm House this September!

Moo Music runs on Tuesday mornings for little ones from birth to age 5. They provide interactive music and mooooooovement sessions for you and your child. You will sing, dance, play and have imaginative fun! With over 150 original Moo Music songs, learning will be a lot of fun!

You can choose from a Mixed Moo class at 9.45am for all ages from 0-5, or a specialist Baby Moo class at 10.45am, for little ones from birth to crawling.

Classes are run by the lovely Julia, and both block bookings (£45 for 6 weeks) and Pay As You Go (£9) spaces are available. Sessions must be booked in advance. Contact Julia on julia@moo-music.co.uk for more information, or book online here.

For older children, the adult Broadway Boogie classes (Wednesdays at 8pm) have been so successful that they’re introducing a kids’ version!

Do you have a stagey kid who loves musicals? This new class is for kids who want to be a star every week! The weekly class will help children get fit and active, introduce them to new friends, help them learn more skills, all while having lots of fun.

Run under the DSM Dance with Lynne umbrella, with help from Molly Gregorious (owner of Limelight Entertainment), you know this talented team knows their stuff about both musicals and children. Classes are suitable for ages 4-13 years. Your child will learn age-appropriate dance fitness routines to some of their favourite shows such as Matilda, High School Musical and the Lion King. Routines are designed to burn energy, build muscle, improve coordination and strengthen young bones. The class will help children to grow in confidence and use their imaginations, while portraying a variety of their favourite characters and using movement to create their own Broadway show!

There is a completely FREE TASTER session on Tuesday 12th September. Come along to register for the session at 5pm (a parent or carer must be present to sign the registration form), and class will start at 5.10pm with a 6pm finish. After the free trial, there will be a 6-week block at the introductory rate of £25 (normally £30).

For more information visit the Broadway Boogie Kids Facebook Page, or just come along in comfy clothes, with a water bottle, at 5pm on Tuesday 12th September.

August at Love’s Farm House

It may be the school holidays, but there’s plenty going on at Love’s Farm House this August!

Missing your regular baby and toddler groups during the summer? No need to worry, because Hartbeeps, Baby Sensory and Mama Baby Bliss are all running summer sessions at Love’s Farm House. Hartbeeps will be taking a trip down the rabbit hole to visit Alice in Wonderland, having ice creams at the seaside and meeting some unicorns, while Baby Sensory are becoming baby frogs and visiting India. Mama Baby Bliss will be offering yoga stretches, massage and relaxing breathing exercises for your little one. Spaces are limited in all classes, so make sure you book your session in advance.

We’re excited to have St Neots Library bringing their Baby and Toddler Rhymetime to Love’s Farm House on Friday 18th August at 10.15am. There’s no need to book for this one, just bring your child (ages 0-5) along for some fun and singing, rhymes and actions. And feel free to borrow a book from our Micro Library afterwards!

For older children, Silver Rock Designs will be here every Tuesday with their popular holiday craft clubs. Aimed at children ages 5+ (younger children may join but will need some parental involvement to get the best out of the experience), each week has a different theme so your child can explore their favourite creative medium, or have a go at everything and see what they like best!

Katy North Academy of Dance is back at Love’s Farm House with two 2-day dance workshops on 2nd-3rd and 9th-10th August. The workshop themes are Multi-Style Dance, where children can learn a variety of dance styles such as Street Dance, Rock ‘n’ Roll and Latin American, and Kids of the West End, which will celebrate musicals with a strong child lead and musicals loved by children. Workshops are suitable for children aged 7-18.

If you’re concentrating on your health and fitness this summer, many of our fitness classes continue throughout the school holidays and some are offering pay-as-you-go spaces so you can organise classes around your holidays. NJ Fitness have PAYG spaces across all their classes (except Zumba), so why not give them a try? If you’re looking for some help to kick off your wellness journey, don’t forget that Healthy You offer Health Trainer appointments at Love’s Farm House on Wednesdays. Health Trainers provide one-to-one support with healthy eating, weight control, stress reduction, fitness and lots more. Call 0333 005 0093 or text healthyu to 60777 to make an appointment.

The Farm House Bar will be open on Friday evenings throughout the summer (except 11th August). You can pop in for a drink with friends, or join in with one of our themed nights – Karaoke & Cocktails on 4th August, Games Night & Book Club on 18th August and Cosy Crafts on 25th August – and enjoy our great selection of drinks, including alcohol-free beers and spirits.

Our last hurrah of the summer will be a Back to School Disco on Saturday 2nd September. We’ll entertain the kids with games and crafts, so that parents can recover from being run off their feet with a well-deserved drink at the bar. Little Dutch Bites will be offering their delicious poffertjes (mini Dutch pancakes) and we’ll be dancing to cheesy hits for young and old.

Hope to see you at Love’s Farm House this August!

And the winner of Hunts Forum’s Trustee of the Year Award is…Maria Russo of Love’s Farm House!

We knew she was amazing, and now the whole of Huntingdonshire does too! Huge congratulations to Maria Russo, Vice-Chair of the Trustees of Love’s Farm House, who won Trustee of the Year at Hunts Forum’s Volunteer Awards 2023!

Maria is involved in almost every area of Love’s Farm House. She leads the Events Team, organising all the discos, shows and other events our community loves so much. She runs the Lazy Breakfast Cafe and can usually be found here on a Saturday morning serving up pastries and sausage rolls. Maria also leads the Garden Team, keeping our lovely outside space looking great, and she gets involved in all sorts of other issues from recruiting volunteers, to supporting staff, to trying to work out how to minimise our utility bills!

Love’s Farm House quite literally could not function without Maria, and as a Trustee she does all of this work on a completely voluntary basis. We are so pleased that her contribution has been recognised with this very well-deserved award! Congratulations Maria!

Love’s Farm House Goes to Wimbledon

Coronation Day Lazy Breakfast

Saturday 6th May 2023, 9.15am-12.15pm, Love’s Farm House

On Saturday 6th May, Lazy Breakfast will be celebrating with a Coronation Special!

As well as our normal cafe in the foyer, we’ll be turning the meeting room into a mini cinema and showing the opening parades and the Coronation Ceremony on the big screen. You can watch the whole thing, dip in and out, or just pop in for a coffee in the foyer to start your bank holiday weekend.

As well as our usual Lazy Breakfast menu, we’ll be bringing back bacon butties for one day only! Or go traditional and order a scone with clotted cream and jam with your cuppa.

The cafe will open at 9.15am as normal, the Coronation Ceremony starts at 11am, and last orders at the cafe will be 12.15pm. If the ceremony is still going on, we’ll keep the building open and the projector on until it finishes.
