Did you know that there is now a ‘Little Library’ at the Farm House, set up by St Neots Library and the trustees of Love’s Farm House, from which you can borrow books on an informal basis without actually having to be a member of Cambridgeshire Libraries?
You will find:
- board books for babies
- picture books to share with young children
- children’s stories by popular authors such as David Walliams and Francesca Simon
- novels for young people
- fiction for adults
- a selection of magazines (thanks to bpha)
To borrow a book, simply pop in to Love’s Farm House during opening hours, which include every morning, Monday – Saturday – choose some books from the library and write down in the Loans Book which ones you are taking to enjoy at home.
There is no fixed time limit as to how long you can keep the books, but please return them as soon as you have finished with them, then someone else can enjoy them!
We launched the library at the start of the summer holidays with Matty Long, winner of the Cambridgeshire Libraries ‘Read it Again’ picture book award, and since then over 140 books have been borrowed from the collection, which is wonderful!
We hope that the library will be enjoyed and much used by the Love’s Farm Community and that many of you will also come down and join St Neots Library where you can choose from thousands more books and use our computers – all for free!
May we remind families who did borrow books over the summer, to return them if you have finished sharing them at home – making sure you write in the Loans Book that you have brought them back. Then enjoying choosing some different ones to borrow!
